"Has anyone seen Bizzie today?" asked Mrs. Secant, the math teacher.
"No, not since lunch," said Melony, "She's probably out memorizing more of pi."
"I heard that memorizing pi can make you go insane," said Jake.
"Why, that's absolutely right!" exclaimed Mrs. Secant, "According to Antranig Basman, 'Learning many digits of pi carries with it certain severe dangers, and can do mental damage that takes a long time to heal."
"We all know who he was talking about," Dina said slyly. The entire class burst out laughing.
"Miss Secant," asked Danny, "Who is Antranig Basman?"
"That's a very good question," Mrs. Secant responded, "A question that you can take up with someone other than myself." Just then, Bizzie and Kenny walked in. Bizzie was completely out of breath as she tumbled in the door, nearly tripping over her backback. Behind her, Kenny stopped abruptly.
"Bizzie," said Mrs. Secant, "You're late again. Now take a seat before we continue our discussion about pi and mental damage." Bizzie blushed and sat in the very back of the room.
"Don't say that to Bizzie!" Kenny then mumbled something which no one could hear except for Bizzie. Everyone turned to see who had dared to talk back to a teacher, and a math teacher at that. It was obvious that Kenny hadn't meant to, but as memories of South Park came flooding back he couldn't hold himself back.
"Young man," Mrs. Secant shouted at Kenny, "You have no right to talk back to me in this classroom under any circumstance, do you understand?"
"Yes, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to. I grew up in a town called South Park where-"
"I don't care where you're from, but you're GOING to the principal's office." Kenny stood still. "NOW!" Feeling ashamed, Kenny walked down the hall.
"Now," said Mrs. Secant, "Let's get back to reality here." Mrs. Secant babbled on about sets of numbers, something that Bizzie had taught herself years ago. The class went by rather quickly, and before Bizzie knew it the school day was over.
"Bizzie!" Kenny called.
"Kenny! Where are you?" Suddenly, she felt something poke her shoulder and jumped.
"Right here," said a voice behind her.
"What did the principal say?" Bizzie asked, turning around to face her friend.
"I didn't tell him what happened with your teacher, I just told him that I wanted to enroll. Starting tomorrow I'm student number 350 in the 10th grade!"
"That's great! I'm the 314th in the 9th."
"I figured." A moment of silence passed. Finally, Kenny broke the ice. "Hey Bizzie, you're not quoting 'Romeo and Juliet' anymore!"
"Yeah, well, I didn't think that would go over very well among the other Sailors."
"What do your parents think about you being a Sailor and all?"
"I haven't told them yet, I usually tell them everything but this is something I'd rather keep to myself. What did your parents think about you being an Element?"
"They never knew either. Besides, they never would have believed me."
"I wonder if I'd gain any popularity by telling people that I am a Sailor."
"Did someone say 'Sailor'?" Bizzie and Kenny turned to see a rather peculiar looking boy. His hair was bleached blonde and he was wearing a black and white striped scarf and a heavy coat, even though it was 70 degrees outside. In his right hand was a small video camera. "I knew the Sailor Scouts at one time."
"No way!" Bizzie and Kenny said at the same time.
"Way. Of course, that was in the future."
"How can you know what happened in the future? It hasn't happened yet," Bizzie reasoned.
"If you're really a Sailor, then you should know," the boy responded.
"You're not making any sense," Kenny told him.
"Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Mark Cohen. In the future I will live in an industrial loft on the corner of 11th street and Avenue A-"
"How do you KNOW?"
"Simple. I am the 5th Element."
