Sailor Pi

Fighting fractions by moonlight
Challenging teachers by daylight
Reading Shakespeare at midnight
She is the one named Sailor Pi

She would never forget a math operation
Or the rules of heat condensation
Pi is the symbol of a new generation
She is the one named Sailor Pi
She is the one
Sailor Pi!

Bizzie, having contained herself, set out to find the other sailors. She brought with her her pet frog Alpha and her dog Beta, who had the same color fur as Bizzie's hair. Bizzie wondered if perhaps Alpha and Beta had some kind of magic power as well, but first she needed to know more about herself.

She walked into town to find a boy, about her age, doing amazing things with fire.

fire"What devil art thou?" asked Bizzie.

"I am Fire", said the boy, "But you may call me Geoffrey. That's G-E-O-F-F-R-E-Y Geoffrey, you got that?"

"Methinks thou dost protest too much", Bizzie said, "I shall call you Jeffy. J-E-F-F-Y."

"NOOOOOOO! You freak! Who do you think you are? I'll burn you in 2 seconds flat next time you call me that!"

Bizzie was not afraid in the least. "Methinks I am Sailor Pi, guardian of the sacred greek alphabet and pi."

Geoffrey laughed. "Pie? This I gotta see. Throw some pies at me." He opened his mouth really wide. Bizzie was getting very angry.

"Pi tangent powder make up!" she screamed.

Geoffrey laughed again. "MEthinks you've got a lot to learn, Sailor Pi."

"So maybe I do", said Bizzie, "And you may call me Bizzie."

"Whoa, where'd you get a name like that?"

"On the Moon Kingdom I suppose, but I could have been renamed when I came to Earth. Where do YOU come from?"

"A place where make up isn't eyeshadow and Shakespeare isn't mocked."

"Thou wretched boy! You're getting me mad."

"Ooo! Me want apple pie!"

"It's not that kind of pie, JEFFY. It's the Greek letter pi. As in 3.14 15926535897932384626433 832795028841971693993751058 209749445923 078164062862..." Suddenly, something came over Bizzie and she found herself rambling on BEYOND the 75 digits that she'd memorized.

"Whoa, what in the world is that?" Geoffrey interupted when Bizzie had completed reciting nearly 200 million digits.

"Like I said, it's pi. The exact ratio of circumference to diameter of a circle."

"That's not as sweet as apple pie, but it's a start." Bizzie smiled. "I have watched these Sailors and I know how they use key-phrases to attack. With my help, you can be one of them and fight evil to the fullest extent."

"Have my ears not yet drunk a thousand words?"

"No, they haven't. You'd better lose the Shakespeare thing or the other Sailors will NEVER accept you."

"They didn't the first time either", Bizzie said softly.

"What's that?" asked Geoffrey.

"Oh, nothing. I just remembered why I'm not with the other Sailor Scouts right now."

"Don't feel bad, it's been so long it won't matter. If you follow what I tell you, you'll be just fine. With my help, many things come easy."
